Last Night's Creation

I have wanted to create this bag for a long time and finally go around to making it last night. I had two left over pieces of leather and went to work!! I say this bag turned out pretty lovely, definately making more....

So Damn Bright

I took a little trip to the country this past weekend and bought the most amazing hide of leather!!! I only have the one hide to create from which will make the process so much fun. I can't wait to finish up the limited pieces from this rich red hide. More to come!

Something New For Spring

I  am currently working on a new line of bags, stepping away from recycled leather for the moment. I  am playing with shapes and kind of obsessed with circles. I love a clean minimal look. I also took a little time and tried a woven look as well. New things on the horizon!

Out and about on a nice Saturday afternoon, checking out the new condos in the downtown area. 

Knotted Pouch

I love a little sunlight and shadows. I created this pebbled textured pouch over the weekend and I was trying to figure out how to finish up the look. I figured I would just knot the front strap for a sleek and clean look. Mega Zip

For the love of black!!!! I love working with black leather and this one has a pebble texture. I'm obsessed with minimalism and a sleek clean look so I created this mega bag. Dark Chocolate

So I was cleaning up my piles of leather and found a super soft piece that I had to use. I only had enough of this dark chocolate leather to create one zipper pouch. Mudcloth Handmade Goods

I finally got my hands on some more Mudcloth from Africa!!! I'm so in love with this handmade material and I love pairing it with recycled leather. I have created a few clutch bags and some mini pouch wallets. More to come.... You can find these in my Etsy Shop at www.treefairfax.etsy.com

Rustic Season

I have been working on new items for Fall and Winter. I love working with rustic looking leather, this type of leather gets better with age and has a rugged look. It's rich in color and has great texture. Check out my Etsy Shop for a few new pieces.

For The Love Of Backpacks

I love a good backpack but it has to speak to me so I decided to create one that speaks volumes! I still had a few pieces of mudcloth material laying around and some lovely leather pieces as well. What a great combination it turned out to be, I'm in love with this bag and it will be hard to see it go. It's a true one of a kind piece that I created and I hope to have this in my Etsy Shop soon.

Falling.....

Prep'n For Fall

The seasons are about to change and I am ready for the cooler weather! I stepped away from sewing to crochet a lovely black scarf and I am totally in love with it. Midnight Clutch

So I have my hands on some really nice recycled leather. The texture is amazing and this leather reminds me of midnight. I have created a few new pieces and this snap clutch is one of them. Summer Time

I love this melon, peachy leather. I only had a very small amount and really wanted to create something that shouts Summer Is Here!!!!! It's like a slice of sweet cantaloupe. I really have a thing for mudcloth this year, I have purchased a few pieces and each one is created so uniquely. I love that it tells a story in African and give us such rich material to work with.
