While cleaning up my basement I found this old tote that I painted and used a stencil on while listening to Michael Jackson. This was of course before I fell in love with leather........

Dad's Old Drop Cloth
Before my father suffered from a major stroke one year ago, he was self employed as a house painter. He painted all over our hometown and everyone knew him. I spent many summers helping him paint and learning what hard work was all about. My dad says he's retired from painting and focusing on getting stronger and so I thought I would give his old drop cloths new life! A quick cut and sew with leather straps and it's the perfect tote. I had to create a mini wallet to go with it.
May my father's house painting legacy live on! (He thinks I'm crazy by the way).

Back It Up
This is my version of a backpack! Minimal, dark caramel, brass hardware with hand stitching. Simple yet I feel it will turn a few heads. I've fallen madly in love with this bag because I was only able to make one in this size. It will be hard to let this one go but I can't keep everything that I create. Soon to be posted on my Etsy Shop at www.treefairfax.etsy.com

Foundation
Sometimes my tote matches the foundation! Just playing around on Instagram snapping pics of a leather bag I created last year. These bags are more than accessories they are like art to me.

Collection of Caramel
So this is what I have been working on, for the love of caramel!!! I decided to step away from the Janome sewing machine and do some real hands on work. 50 million hand punches and stitches later..........You can now find them on my Etsy shop.

Hand Stitched
I have my hands on some really lovely dark caramel leather and I wanted to create a clutch that could also be used as a IPad case. This leather good has a sleek minimal look, easy to grab and go. You can find this item on my Etsy shop at www.treefairfax.etsy.com
