I am totally on a "red" kick here lately, my husband picked up this five dollar hat for me and I love it!!! Paired it with one of my handmade leather mini bags for this pic! Essence

Quick post, I made this bag last month and I really love this shape and the easiness of this bag. It has great texture and looks amazing with denim! Pop!

I love a pop of color. In my free time I have been working on this super red crochet scarf. I love the way this color looks and the scarf turned out pretty nicely! Once my wrist heal I will start on another bright color lol. Looks really nice paired with this lovely leather bag.

The Mega Tote

I had been holding on to this light gloss caramel leather for a while. I wasn't sure if I really liked it and didn't know what to create with it. Now I'm glad that I decided to work with this recycled leather, it was once a couch and now given new life!!! I love a big tote bag and you can carry everything in this one. Bundle Up!

The Rustics

A Pair

I was volunteering at The Artful Lawyer, Gallery Store on Saturday where they carry some of my handmade goods as well as other artisans in the area. They are located in Blacksburg Virgina on Main Street. I had some time so I snapped a few pics and this has to be my favorite! That hat is amazing and goes perfect with my leather rustic bag. Vintage + Leather Goods

I have been on a Goodwill kick lately and have come across some really nice things! I'm so in love with this vintage striped sweater and it works perfect with my recycled leather bracelet and change purse that I created.

Leather + Print

Last night I went thru my pile of scraps and found two lovely pieces to work with. I love this mudcloth type of fabric, it's my favorite print to work with. I hope to create some more small bags, it's perfect for your cell, keys, money and chap stick!

Wild Thang

Quick post, while I wait for my recycled leather to come in the mail I picked up some more yarn and this is what happened.....

Crochet + Leather

When yarn and leather meet this is what happens. I try to use every piece of leather that I have laying around, waste not want not! I think this is a pretty good combination.

Eye Catching Print

I did a little thrifting over the weekend and this top had me at first glance!!!! The print is insane, it's a button up, shirt in the front and long in the back, with a few buttons down the back center for pleating. It's absolutely amazing!! More pis to come 

In Between Time Hobby

When I have a little down time I like to crochet and this is the perfect time of year to get started. I live this yarn, the color pops and it works well with my Goodwill find (denim jacket)!

Black On Black

I took a moment away from sewing and worked on some jewelry. I got these amazing black disk beads from a special store, the beads come from Africa and they are so great to work with. I made a clay bead for the center and it looks pretty cute on this black leather cord.

Inspired

Found this piece of dark raspberry leather laying around and decided to give it life! This raspberry sack looks pretty cute and ready for Fall.

Backpack

My love of recycling leather lead me to create this chocolate backpack. I found some amazing leather that came from a vintage leather couch and I figured I would try to make a nice backpack. This leather is pretty nice and easy to work with. I think the finished product came out kind of nice. 

Cozy Kind Of Weather

It's knitting and crocheting time!!!! In between sewing I love to knit and crochet but my hands pay for it. Her's my niece looking cozy in this extra long navy scarf..... I will post more pictures later

Vintage Leather

The best thrifting find yet!!! Wilson's Leather House pants, just hanging on a rack waiting for me. They are in excellent condition and I pray my thighs will not work against me!!!

For the love of thrifting!

I wish that I could travel the world and visit every thrift store known to man! I found these amazing black and white pants and matching shirt a few weeks ago for close to nothing. I did have to alter the pants a bit, now I'm totally in love with them. 

Sweeties

All three of these were once, a clutch bag gone wrong. I had tucked it away last year and then decided that I could reinvent it once more. Three is always better than one. This deep burgundy is almost like a burnt burgundy in person, it has a really rich tone. I really like how these turned out but my only problem is, I can't find anymore of this leather!!!!! Hope to have these up for sale very soon.

Distressed Set

Bag In Distress

I'm totally in love with this bag! It's simple, fold over with exposed seams. It has a rough and rugged look and that's why I love working with recycled leather. Distressed

I have some really amazing leather to work with and it has this distressed look to it. The more you use the leather the better it gets, it's super smooth and great quality. I love using recycled leather and I'm liking the way this bag turned out. Well back to the sewing room for me!

For the love of chocolate

So I got my hands on some recycled chocolate leather, I couldn't wait to create!!! First piece I made was this amazing tote, the feel of this leather is milky and soft. I love love love the color and I will have this one for sale on my Etsy Shop soon. www.treefairfax.etsy.com

Wildlife

I love creating pouches and this time I didn't want it to be so perfect. I decided to leave the shape of this leather the way it was and create a bag around it. Peachy Keen

I was able to get my hands on a small piece of this peachy, tan leather. I love it!!! It's pretty sturdy and holds it's shape and really smooth. This tote turned out amazing and I only have enough left to make one more. I will try desperately to make a small pouch if possible, fingers crossed!

Free Spirit

I've been in the factory again and created this one of a kind clutch from this amazing peanut butter leather. I added some brass hardware to give it a great look. The Sky At Night

So I just got this gray sturdy leather and I could not wait to create something. The color reminds me of the night sky after a thunderstorm.  I love a tote bag with a outside pocket for my keys and cell phone and this tote is big enough to hold a laptop! The Peanut Butter Sack

Fringe Benefits

A good friend of mine is going to a Beyonce concert and requested a white leather bag to feed her obsession with fringe, I would say this bag does that! I haven't yet completed this bag, I still need to trim and add a strap but it's looking pretty good so far. I will have to name this the Ms. Flint bag. I will post the final pic later this week.

Rough and Rugged

I have wanted to create a bag like this so such a long time, finally found the right leather. This leather is perfect, very rough and rugged looking and its pretty thick. Leather and Specks

Everyone knows that I love to use ever scrap of leather that I have laying around. I have been holding on to this speckled cotton material for a while and I decided to make good use of it. I love this clutch and the texture of the leather. I was only able to make one of these, so its a one of a kind!

To Be Seen

I found this white and black fabric I got from Urban Outfitter years ago and I just bought a vintage leather skirt from the Thrift Store last week. I decided to cut the two pieces and create a new clutch. I have always loved this black and white material and I wish I had more of it left.
